Teeple could be a good learning resource for middle through high school students. It teaches personification. Teeple, a piano, is telling his story. It's good practice for comprehension skills because it has historical information. He shares how he was made, his adventure on the Northern Pacific Railway, and he shares the local history of the Bitterroot Valley. Teeple also shares his favorite music and literature.  Teeple is also a great way to introduce students to writing a short historical biography.  With a word count of under 5,000, Teeple proves that even a short story can open our eyes to great ideas.
